Adjust Network Settings

Use Crawler.Companion to switch an Edge device between DHCP and static IP, or to update its network address.

Caution

Incorrect network settings can make a device unreachable. Only make changes if you are familiar with IP addresses and subnet masks.

1. Select a device

   Click on the device you want to configure in the device list.

2. Open the Network Settings tab

   In the detail panel on the right, click the Netzwerk Einstellungen tab.

3. Choose an IP mode

   Select either DHCP (the device receives its IP automatically from a router) or Statische IP (fixed IP address).

4. Enter network values (Static IP only)

   If you selected Statische IP, enter the following values:

   • IP-Adresse — e.g. 192.168.1.50
   • Subnetzmaske — e.g. 255.255.255.0
   • Gateway — e.g. 192.168.1.1

5. Save the settings

   Click Speichern. The device applies the new configuration and restarts. It will be reachable at the new IP address afterwards.
